Idea for a plunger design

I'm probably not the first to think of this by a long shot, but I have an idea for a curved plunger tube that may make things like double break shotguns easier to make with working hammers.  I am willing to share it with the community if it helps something cool get made.  I attached a quick sketch of the design.  It would be powered by a torsion spring and directly primed by a rotating hammer, much like a real gun.  It may not be powerful enough to do much if it even would work, but all you really need for a shotgun is about 15-20 feet right?   Feedback greatly appreciated.
